Staatsweingüter Kloster Eberbach: tradition and quality in the Rheingau
Staatsweingüter Kloster Eberbach, based in the historic Cistercian monastery of Eberbach in the Rheingau region, is one of the most renowned wineries in Germany. The winery looks back on almost 900 years of history and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern winemaking.
Today, the Staatsweingüter cultivate around 200 hectares of vines, mainly Riesling, but also Pinot Noir and other grape varieties. The vineyards are among the best in the Rheingau, including well-known single vineyards such as "Steinberg", "Marcobrunn" and "Rauenthaler Baiken".
The wines of the Staatsweingüter are characterised by their mineral elegance, fruit and longevity. The dry Rieslings in particular enjoy an international reputation. The winery favours sustainable cultivation and is certified according to ecological standards.
