Rosebank - The Queen of Lowland Whiskies

Rosebank is considered one of Scotland's most legendary distilleries and epitomises the elegant tradition of Lowland whiskies like no other. Founded in Falkirk in 1840, the distillery produced some of the finest single malts in the country until its closure in 1993. Its triple-distilled whisky was famed for its complex elegance and floral finesse - qualities that made it the crown jewel of the Lowlands.

Rosebank is characterised by its light yet complex profile with notes of fresh pears, vanilla blossom and delicate honey, rounded off with a subtle mineral note. The triple distillation gave the whisky an unparalleled purity, while the use of local barley and the mild climate of the Lowlands ensured an unmistakable variety of flavours. The bottlings from the 1980s and early 1990s in particular are now considered absolute rarities and fetch record prices at auction.

In 2017, Ian Macleod Distillers announced the revitalisation of the distillery - news that delighted whisky connoisseurs worldwide. The first new Rosebank whiskies are set to mature from 2021 and continue the tradition of triple distillation. Until then, the original bottlings will remain coveted collector's items that keep the legend of this extraordinary distillery alive.

Rosebank stands for the perfect balance between lightness and depth - a whisky that captures the soul of the Lowlands in every bottle.
