Domaine Liger-Belair in Vosne-Romanée produces some of the most exclusive and expressive red wines in Burgundy. The Liger-Belair family can look back on a long winemaking tradition, but it was not until the estate was revitalised by Comte Louis-Michel Liger-Belair in 2000 that it achieved worldwide fame.
Known for its Grand Cru vineyards such as La Romanée and Clos de Vougeot, the estate produces wines of exceptional finesse and complexity. Louis-Michel favours minimal intervention: strict grape selection, natural fermentation and ageing in high-quality oak barrels. His wines are characterised by elegant tannins, lively freshness and a deep mineral character.
Domaine Liger-Belair epitomises the essence of Pinot Noir - velvety, aromatic and with great longevity. With small production quantities and the utmost craftsmanship, their wines are among the most sought-after and expensive Burgundies in the world.
