Domaine Leflaive - A legend of Burgundy Chardonnay
Domaine Leflaive in Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy, is one of the world's most renowned white wine estates. Since it was founded in 1920 by Joseph Leflaive, it has set standards for high-quality Chardonnay, especially its Grand Cru vineyards such as Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet, which are prized for their mineral elegance and longevity.
Under Anne-Claude Leflaive (1956-2015), the estate became a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture. Her commitment to sustainable methods shaped the characterful style of the wines: fine acidity, complex flavours and a unique balance between fruit and mineral depth.
Today, Brice de La Morandière, a descendant of the family, continues the legacy. Domaine Leflaive stands for precision craftsmanship and the pure expression of the terroir. Its wines are among the most sought-after and expensive white wines in the world and epitomise the perfect symbiosis of tradition and innovation.
