Fritz Haag Winery: Top Riesling from the Moselle Valley
The Fritz Haag winery in Brauneberg on the Moselle is one of the most renowned Riesling producers in Germany. Viticulture has been practised here for over 400 years and the estate is now run by Oliver Haag, one of the best winegrowers in the region.
The estate's vineyards are located on the famous steep slopes of the Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenhrr and Brauneberger Juffer, which are known for their mineral-rich, expressive Rieslings. The blue Devonian slate soils give the wines a distinctive structure and lively acidity.
Fritz Haag mainly produces dry and delicately fruity Rieslings, including Kabinett, Spätlese and Auslese, but also high-quality Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese wines. The wines are characterised by their clear fruit, elegant minerality and great ageing potential.
The winery favours sustainable cultivation and precision craftsmanship. Selective harvesting and gentle vinification result in wines of the highest quality, which are regularly honoured with international awards.
In addition to wine production, the estate offers guided wine tastings and events where visitors can experience Mosel wine culture.
