Edradour - Scotland's smallest whisky pearl

In the heart of the Scottish Highlands, near Pitlochry, lies Edradour - Scotland's smallest traditional whisky distillery. Whisky has been produced here by hand since 1825, using almost unchanged traditional methods. With just three employees and an annual production of around 90,000 litres, Edradour embodies the romance of artisan whisky distilling.

Edradour's single malt impresses with its characterful, strong style. The use of the smallest stills (wash still: 1,800 litres) and slow fermentation give the whisky an unusual intensity. Typical are malty-sweet notes of honey and caramel, combined with fruity flavours of dried apple rings and a subtle smoky spiciness. Edradour's sherry cask bottlings have become particularly well known due to their deep amber colour and aromatic complexity.

The distillery has been part of Andrew Symington's Signatory Vintage since 2002 and offers fascinating single cask bottlings without chill-filtering and unadulterated at natural strength alongside the standard 10-year-old. This rare independence makes Edradour particularly sought-after by collectors.

Despite its small size, Edradour has a loyal following worldwide. Every bottle tells the story of Scottish tradition, passion for craftsmanship and the unmistakable character of a whisky that has never bowed to industrial standards. Edradour proves that size has nothing to do with volume, but with heart and flavour.
