Domaine Leroy: a Burgundy legend
Domaine Leroy, run by the visionary Lalou Bize-Leroy, is one of Burgundy's most famous wine estates. Since its foundation in the 19th century, it has stood for the highest quality and radical biodynamics.
Lalou Bize-Leroy, formerly co-owner of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC), has been shaping her own business with an uncompromising closeness to nature since the 1990s. She cultivates around 22 hectares of grand cru vineyards such as Musigny, Richebourg and Corton-Charlemagne. The grapes are cultivated in a strictly biodynamic way - without chemicals, with minimal yields and the greatest possible manual labour.
The wines of Domaine Leroy are extremely rare and intense. Red wines such as the Musigny Grand Cru are characterised by their powerful elegance, while the Corton-Charlemagne is one of the best Pinot Blancs.
Thanks to their tiny production quantities and unique character, Leroy wines achieve top prices. They are considered the epitome of Burgundian perfection - timeless, complex and of unrivalled depth.
Conclusion: Domaine Leroy is a symbol of master craftsmanship and viticulture true to the terroir. Their wines are not just drinks, but works of art.
