Château Giscours - tradition and modernity in Margaux

Château Giscours is a renowned wine estate from the Margaux appellation in the Médoc, Bordeaux, and has been classified as a Troisième Grand Cru Classé since 1855. With a history dating back to the 14th century, the estate combines traditional viticulture with state-of-the-art technology. The 80 hectares of vineyards lie on deep gravel and sandy soils, ideal for the production of elegant, aromatic wines.

The grape varieties are made up of around 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, which gives the wines structure, finesse and ageing potential. Château Giscours impresses with its velvety tannins, notes of blackcurrant, violet and cedar wood as well as a harmonious freshness.

Since the 1990s, the estate has undergone extensive modernisation, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Today, sustainable methods are used and vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The subsequent ageing phase in French oak gives the wine additional complexity.

Château Giscours stands for the typical elegance of Margaux - a wine with depth, floral aromas and a long ageing potential. Year after year, the estate proves why it is one of the best cru classé châteaux and delights wine lovers worldwide.
