Château Gazin - A jewel of Pomerol

Château Gazin is a renowned wine estate in the heart of the Pomerol appellation in Bordeaux, France. With a history dating back to the 18th century, it is one of the most prestigious wine estates in the region. The estate covers around 26 hectares and is located in close proximity to famous neighbours such as Château Pétrus and Château L'Evangile, which is testament to its excellent location.

The Gazin vineyards are planted with around 90 % Merlot and 10 % Cabernet Franc, typical of the best wines of Pomerol. The deep, gravelly clay soil gives the wines structure, elegance and ageing potential. Château Gazin is characterised by its velvety tannins, aromatic complexity with notes of ripe fruit, truffles and spices as well as a harmonious balance.

The estate has been run by the Bailliencourt dit Courcol family since 1917, who attach great importance to traditional winemaking with modern precision. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks before the wine matures in French oak barrels.

Château Gazin epitomises the essence of Pomerol: powerful yet refined, with a deep mineral note. Year after year, it ranks among the top wines of the region and delights connoisseurs worldwide. A wine that masterfully expresses the soul of its terroir.
