Château Caronne Ste Gemme - The silent ambassador of the Haut-Médoc

The family-run Château Caronne Ste Gemme, a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, is one of the most reliable quality wine estates in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Owned by the Nony family since 1900, it epitomises the down-to-earth elegance of this often underestimated Médoc region.

Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (45%) and Petit Verdot(5%) grow here on 45 hectares on the typical gravel terraces of the Haut-Médoc. The proximity to Saint-Julien gives the wines a special finesse, which is reflected in their balanced structure, soft tannins and flavours of blackcurrant, plum and delicate spice.

Under the direction of François Nony, the estate relies on traditional vinification with modern precision techniques. The wines are aged 30-40% in new barriques, which gives them sufficient structure without masking their fruity accessibility. The artisanal philosophy is reflected in the remarkable price-performance quality.

Special vintages such as 2015, 2016 and 2018prove the potential of this winery. As one of the last family-run crus in the Médoc, Caronne Ste Gemme offers authentic terroir expression at fair prices - an insider tip for true Bordeaux connoisseurs.
