Domaine Bruno Clair - Burgundian elegance from Marsannay
Domaine Bruno Clairin Marsannay is one of the most renowned wine estates in the Côte de Nuits. Founded by Bruno Clair in 1979, the estate now cultivates 23 hectares of vines in seven communes, including coveted sites such as Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques (1er Cru), Bonnes-Mares (Grand Cru) and Corton-Charlemagne (Grand Cru).
Bruno Clair, a pupil of the legendary Henri Jayer, combines traditional expertise with modern precision. The grapes are rigorously selected and vinified with minimal intervention. Particular attention is paid to natural fermentation with wild yeasts and careful ageing in oak barrels (20-35% new barriques).
The estate's red wines are characterised by their complex red fruit aromas, fine spicy notes and silky tannins. The white wines - especially the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru - show a perfect balance between fullness and mineral freshness.
The winery has favoured sustainable cultivation since 2007. The wines from Bruno Clair impress with their clear structure, great ageing potential and authentic terroir expression - real Burgundy delicacies for connoisseurs.
With around 100,000 bottles produced each year, Domaine Bruno Clair is one of the most important addresses in the region.
