The Domaine Olivier Bernstein winery
Domaine Olivier Bernsteinis one of the younger but already highly respected wine estates in Burgundy. Founded by Olivier Bernstein, a passionate winemaker with international experience, the estate has quickly made a name for itself for exceptional premium wines. Bernstein focuses on some of the best sites (Climats) in Burgundy, including Grand Cru and Premier Cru parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis.
Olivier Bernstein favours extreme selection and precision craftsmanship. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinification is carried out with minimal intervention in order to bring out the full character of the terroir. The wines are matured in high-quality French oak barrels, with Bernstein placing great emphasis on the balance between fruit, tannins and wood flavours.
The Domaine's wines are known for their depth, elegance and longevity. The Pinot Noir cuvées in particular impress with their complex flavours of red fruits, spices and mineral freshness. The Chardonnays, especially from the Mâconnais, also show a perfect harmony between fullness and acidity.
Although the winery is still relatively young, Olivier Bernstein's wines are already among the most sought-after Burgundies. They epitomise the philosophy of their founder: a passion for the terroir and the will to get the best out of the grapes every year.
