Domaine Robert Arnoux - tradition and innovation in Burgundy
Domaine Robert Arnoux, now known as Arnoux-Lachaux, is one of the most renowned wine estates in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. Founded in the 19th century in Vosne-Romanée, the estate has produced outstanding Pinot Noirs over generations that perfectly reflect the terroir of their origin.
The estate is particularly well known for its Grand Cru sites such as Romanée-Saint-Vivant and Clos de Vougeot. The wines are characterised by their elegance, complexity and longevity. Since Pascal Lachaux, the grandson of Robert Arnoux, took over the management of the estate, modern techniques have been introduced to complement the traditional craftsmanship. These include more gentle vinification and the avoidance of excessive extraction.
The philosophy of the estate combines respect for nature with an innovative approach. The grapes are rigorously selected and vinified with minimal intervention in order to preserve the purity of the terroir. Today, Arnoux-Lachaux wines are considered the epitome of Burgundian finesse - dense and structured, but always with an impressive freshness and variety of flavours.
With its characterful, long-lasting wines, the estate sets standards in the Burgundy wine world and carries Robert Arnoux's legacy into the future. Each bottle tells the story of an exceptional terroir and a family that has dedicated its life to viticulture.
