Domaine Armand Rousseauoccupies an almost mythical place in the world of Grands Crus from Burgundy. Since it was founded in 1909 in Gevrey-Chambertin, this family winery has embodied the essence of top-quality Burgundy. With 15 hectares of vineyards - including spectacular parcels such as Chambertin, Clos de la Roche and Clos Saint-Jacques - the domaine produces some of the most sought-after Pinot Noirs in the world.
What makes Armand Rousseau's wines so exceptional is their perfect balance between powerful structure and delicate elegance, with each wine reflecting its terroir with crystalline clarity - from the mineral nuances of the Gevrey-Chambertin to the sensual richness of the Chambertin Grand Cru. The domaine works with the utmost care: selective hand-picking, natural fermentation and careful ageing in French oak barrels characterise the unmistakable style.
The domaine achieved particular fame under Charles Rousseau, who set standards for modern Burgundy from the 1950s to the 2000s. Today, his son Eric Rousseau continues the legacy and produces wines of timeless finesse. Vintages such as 2005, 2010 and 2015 are considered the benchmark wines of their generation and achieve top prices at auctions.
