Ruinart - The pioneering spirit of Champagne

As the oldest Champagne house founded (1729), Ruinart epitomises the original elegance and innovative power of the region. The founder Nicolas Ruinart, a visionary cloth merchant, was one of the first to recognise the potential of the sparkling wines from his homeland. To this day, the house in Reims retains this pioneering spirit - combined with state-of-the-art cellar technology in the spectacular, UNESCO-protected chalk cellars dating back to the 18th century.

Ruinart has specialised in the processing of Chardonnay in particular, which shapes the characteristic finesse of the champagnes. The Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, a pure Chardonnay cuvée, is characterised by its mineral freshness with notes of white flowers and citrus fruits. The prestige cuvée Dom Ruinart, named after the founder, shows all the complexity and ageing potential of a great Blanc de Blancs in its vintage version.

The Ruinart Rosé, with its delicate berry fruit and coppery colour, deserves special mention. The house also favours sustainable cultivation and is continuously reducing its ecological footprint.

A glass of Ruinart is like travelling back in time - full of history, elegance and vibrant freshness.
