Louis Roederer - Prestige and perfection from Reims
Since 1776, the Louis Roederer champagne house has stood for exceptional craftsmanship and unrivalled elegance. As one of the last large independent family businesses in Champagne, the house in Reims combines traditional methods with modern precision. Roederer became world-famous for its Cristal, which was created exclusively for the Russian Tsar Alexander II in 1876 and is still considered one of the most prestigious champagnes today.
Louis Roederer's champagnes are characterised by their crystalline clarity and exceptional longevity. The Brut Premier, a harmonious blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, impresses with its fresh citrus flavour and creamy texture. The legendary Cristal, on the other hand, shows all the depth and complexity of a great champagne in its vintage version - with flavours of ripe fruit, almonds and a mineral precision.
The estate favours biodynamic cultivation in its own Grand Cru vineyards and particularly long ageing on the lees. With its intense berry fruit and fine perlage, the Cristal Rosé cuvée also demonstrates Roederer's mastery of rosé champagnes.
