Henriot - The quiet perfection of Champagne

Since 1808, the Henriot Champagne House has been synonymous with understated elegance and precision craftsmanship. As one of the last independent family businesses in Reims, the house has dedicated itself to the art of Chardonnay for seven generations - a speciality in the rather Pinot Noir-dominated Champagne region. The estate's own vineyards in Grand Cru sites on the Côte des Blancs (particularly in Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger) form the basis for champagnes of crystalline purity.

Henriot's creations are characterised by their mineral finesse and exceptional longevity. The Henriot Brut Souverain, an assemblage of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, impresses with its vibrant freshness and notes of white flowers, citrus and a salty chalky note. The prestige cuvée Cuvée des Enchanteleurs, produced only in outstanding vintages, develops a fascinating complexity with flavours of honey, almond and delicate roasted aromas after at least ten years of ageing in the bottle.

The Henriot Blanc de Blancs, a pure Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards that epitomises the essence of the Côte des Blancs, deserves special mention. The house favours natural cultivation and consistently refrains from malolactic fermentation in order to preserve the natural freshness.
