Deutz - German precision in the Champagne region
The Deutz champagne house has been combining German thoroughness with French champagne tradition since 1838. The Aÿ-based house - founded by Wilhelm Deutz from the Rhineland and his partner Pierre-Hubert Geldermann - stands for precisely crafted, long-lasting champagnes with an unmistakable character. Deutz was one of the first houses to introduce the idea of "Brut" champagne, revolutionising international taste.
Deutz' champagnes are characterised by their crystalline clarity and structural elegance. The Deutz Brut Classic, a harmonious blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, is characterised by its lively freshness with notes of white fruit and a subtle minerality. The prestige cuvée Amour de Deutz, a pure Blanc de Blancs, shows an impressive complexity with nuances of honey, almond and delicate roasted flavours after at least six years of bottle ageing.
The Deutz Rosé, whose velvety texture and intense berry flavours are the result of the saignée method, deserves special mention. The company favours sustainable cultivation in its own Grand Cru vineyards and is continuously reducing its ecological footprint.
A glass of Deutz is like a perfectly choreographed symphony - precise, balanced and of timeless beauty.
