Comte de Dampierre - Aristocratic rarities from the Champagne region

Since 1839, the Comte de Dampierre champagne house has been synonymous with handcrafted, perfected micro-productions of exceptional finesse. As one of the last true "Champagne châteaux" with a historic vineyard in Dampierre-le-Château, the house preserves an almost forgotten tradition: the art of pure hand shaking (remuage à la volée) and the exclusive use of first-pressed wines (cuvée).

Comte de Dampierre's champagnes are characterised by their crystalline clarity and unparalleled longevity. The Comte de Dampierre Brut Impérial, an assemblage of Grand Cru Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, develops notes of golden apples, fresh brioche and an astonishing salinity. The prestige cuvée Cuvée des Ambassadeurs, produced only in outstanding vintages, matures for at least eight years and then reveals flavours of candied citrus fruits, honey and a delicate smoky note.

The Rosé de Saignée, whose deep ruby colour and intense berry fruit is the result of 72 hours of maceration, deserves special mention. The house consistently refrains from malolactic fermentation in order to preserve the natural freshness.

A glass of Comte de Dampierre is like a forgotten masterpiece - rare, unadulterated and of timeless beauty.
