Bollinger - The British soul of Champagne

Since 1829, the Champagne house of Bollinger has embodied the powerful elegance and aristocratic tradition of Champagne like no other. As an official supplier to the British court since 1884 - a distinction that is even immortalised in the coat of arms - the family-run house from Aÿ has earned a special reputation for powerful, long-lasting champagnes.

Bollinger's unmistakable style is based on three pillars: its own vineyards in Grand Cru sites (60% Pinot Noir), the use of oak barrels for vinification and exceptionally long bottle ageing. The Bollinger Special Cuvée, the characteristic house cuvée, impresses with its intense structure with aromas of roasted almonds, prunes and a subtle roasted flavour.

The Bollinger R.D.(Récemment Dégorgé) series, whose vintages mature on the lees for up to 15 years and thus develop a unique complexity, is legendary. Not forgetting the Bollinger La Grande Année, which is produced in outstanding years and is considered one of the best vintage champagnes.

A special curiosity: Bollinger is one of the few houses that still has its own oak barrels and carries out part of the fermentation traditionally in wood.

A glass of Bollinger is like a declaration of love to Pinot Noir - powerful, complex and with an aristocratic attitude.
