Founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, the Krug Champagne House is synonymous with exceptional complexity and artisanal perfection. As one of the most prestigious wine estates in Champagne, Krug has always focussed on individual parcel management and pure reserve wines that are stored for decades. The philosophy: each vintage should reflect the unique personality of the terroir.
Krug's champagnes captivate with their incomparable depth and variety of flavours - from ripe citrus notes to honey and almonds to subtle roasted aromas. The flagship Krug Grande Cuvée, an assemblage of over 120 wines from different vintages, epitomises the art of blending. The coveted single-vineyard champagnes such as Clos du Mesnil or Clos d'Ambonnay are among the rarest and most exclusive sparkling wines in the world.
Unlike many producers, Krug relies on complete alcoholic fermentation in wooden barrels, which gives the wines additional complexity. The long maturation on the lees (at least seven years) makes every Krug champagne a unique experience.
