There are certainly still discoveries to be made, as 1906 was a good wine year in Bordeaux with strong, late-ripening wines. Ducru Beaucaillou has held up surprisingly well and was still a pleasure to drink in 2006. I spontaneously thought of caramelised meadow mushrooms. I've never tasted them like this before, but the nose was exciting. Lots of coffee notes - 90/100. Gruaud Larose is also considered to be very good and long-lasting (source: wineterminator.com Dr. Becker).
