Château Margaux - The quintessence of Bordeaux

As one of the five Premiers Crusof 1855, Château Margaux epitomises the aristocratic elegance of the Médoc like no other estate. Viticulture has been practised here since the 12th century, but it was in the 18th century under the Marquis de La Colonilla that the estate developed its worldwide reputation.

The 92 hectares of carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot produce wines of irresistible harmony - fragrant with violets, ripe redcurrants and fine cedar wood. The Grand Vin impresses with its silky texture and almost infinite ageing potential, while the second wine, Pavillon Rouge, offers more accessible finesse.

The iconic neoclassical château dating from 1810, surrounded by park-like vineyards, is itself a symbol of French wine culture. Under the management of the Mentzelopoulos family since 1977, the château combines state-of-the-art cellar technology with a deep respect for nature - fully certified organic since 2023.
